Hi all,
I have this 500 board and am getting a main battery low message. I don't solder nor do I have the tools to do so.
I've read in other posts folks add battery sockets and a new battery. I think I can try to find something at radio shack, but I wondered if someone would mind posting a picture of what the "after" looks like? My plan ( I think) is to clip off the negative side and pull the battery out. What I don't know is what/how folks have implemented a reliable 'after market' battery socket to make this easier next time. In addition I have three other machines with the same issue. These machines have been sitting a few years. If it seems too involved I think I'd be okay sending these to a reliable advertiser here to repair for me. With that, I am reluctant to pop off the Varta battery, though I know I am on borrowed time.
**Slight edit - one of my boards is newer and has a CR2354 battery that slides out. Is anyone aware of a compatible battery either on radio shack or mcmaster.com? If not I will head to eBay. Thanks
Thanks in advance.
