Wave Cabinet
« on: November 14, 2018, 09:44:59 AM »
Hello,

Does anyone have the wiring on a wave cabinet.  I'm trying to put a wave wheel on my v32 and have a extra plug left over. its a 8 Pin Molex connector but only 7 pins are used. Its on the same harness as the wheel LEDs and Crown topper. Just wanted to see where they have it plugged into.

Thanks

8 pin white molex?  Isnt' that usually power?  If it's a micro fit (small black molex) they usually go to the  LCU board.  All alpha video toppers I've seen have 1 micro for super candle, 1 micro of leds, 1 mini (white molex) for power, vga cable, and then the regular old 4 pin cable for the candle.

Yes I believe it to be power, but not sure where it goes, don’t have a spare port

Also I have a A07 light control board and it doesn’t like it, do I need a A08? Also I have to unplug my LED speakers to plug it in as I don’t have a spare port?

There are 2 board types for the LCU ports.  One is a narrow board with less ports and the other one is the bigger board with more ports.  Since you have a V32, you don't even have the cabinet leds, so I'm thinking you have the narrow one.  What else is connected to the LCD board with a black Micro fit molex?

The other bottom port is where I have my LED Speaker attached, the one plugged in is for the super candle I believe.

The wheel has a small and bigger black connector. I attach the smaller one on top but have no where for the larger one or a place to plug in the power 8/7 pin white molex connector

You have 2 additional ports.  The one on top between the 2 connectors. and the one on the side.  I use the one on top.  As far as the power, doesn't it have a pigtail pass through on it.  Where you can unplug an existing power molex on the op and plug it to the pigtail on the topper power connector?

The one on the left side in the picture is the wrong size, I need another 16 pin port.

I have attached a picture of the wiring

The 3 plugs are just for the leds. There are other plugs with the topper that I have figured out

Oh I see what you mean.  Since the Wave cabinet does not have led speakers, the port is open.  As far as the power is concerned, what is taking up the 2 power plugs that are on the top of the A2 V32 cabinet?

I think those are either 10 pin ports or 3 pin ports.  No 8 pin ports except for the one on the right side, but that is for the candle.

Ok, I just looked at my 24" wave topper that I have installed on an alpha 1 cabinet that I converted to run Alpha 2.  I had to make my own power harness since the wave topper has the 8 pin power connector and the alpha 1 has the 10 pin connector, I would think the pinout is the same.  This is the pin out.
