Communication #5 Error (Nok 1 PCB)
« on: February 18, 2023, 08:13:20 AM »
nce again I turn to the slot Gods.

2012 Aruze Shining 7s. beautiful machine to look at. Picked it up recently for $300. Has to be worth way more in parts alone, but I don't part out machines. Error when booting up. Wont let me get passed the error.

Communication #5 Error (Nok 1 PCB).

I downloaded the manual, but it really doesnt get into THAT error.  I was told its a USB problem. I disconnected the USB ports and reconnected them, but no luck. Someone else suggested clearing the RAM, which on these machines you can do without a RAM clear card. However, I dont think im ready for that part. Someone also suggested its a power supply issue. It does have 2 identical power supply units, and I reversed them to see if it would change. but still got the error. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated!!!

You really need to do a ram clear.
There is not much that can go wrong.
All settings are retained.
Your manual should explain how. You turn the key to the reset position. Open the cage door. Make sure it registers as open. If not pull it out a little.
Turn the machine off and on
Reset will take a while.
When it is complete the settings screen will come up

That's the RAM clear process? Just open the cage , Key to Reset, and power the machine on? I'm at work and didn't look it up, but I thought it was more complex
