Well I finally used a low tech way to get the batteries to keep the NVRAM alive.  Alligator clips and CR2032 batteries in holders.

All looked good and was finally able to get Willy Wonka to load and with no errors.  BV works, tito ticket in and ticket print works.  Video/Sound good.  All my settings are correct as far as I can tell.

It's set to a standard button deck in the game settings.   But...um...no buttons!   None of them work.  No lights, no response from any of them.

My button deck hasn't been touched.  I've heard of a game not working with an OLED button deck, but not one that won't work with a standard button deck.

Anyone else running Willy Wonka on a BB2 with an NXT3.2 CPU upgrade have any ideas?   Does this game "require" an OLED button deck or something?

Or have I missed a setting somewhere other than in game setup where standard is selected for the botton deck?  Or is there an exact H19 OS version that I need to use for the game?  I would think I would get a tilt for no button deck detected, or not supported or something.  But standard buttons are selectable in the OS, and there are no faults or errors on the machine.

Ideas/Suggestions from anyone that might have the same game on their machine with a standard button deck?

Thanks!

Go figure!   All the effort to upgrade only to find I need a button deck.    :banghead:

The USB and power wire is there.  OLED was apparently replaced with a std deck.  I guess it's not all bad as some BB2 games won't work with an OLED deck.  Guess I need both.

Can I just get an OLED button deck from GET-T, replace it and I'll finally be good?

Thanks!!!

Bought the complete OLED button deck from GET-T at the link previously posted.

Was the best price and many are selling “as is” BB2 OLED decks with all burnt buttons for almost the same price! 🙄

Better to get a tested OLED button deck with all good buttons as the USB & power cable are already present in my machine.

Hopefully I’ll finally have a perfect Wonka machine!
Runs great, video is flawless.  Just need the dang button deck to be complete, and actually be able to play it!

Thanks for confirming that it needs an OLED deck!

Are those all new OLEDS in that button deck?  If so that is stupid cheap. Did you get the rubber hand rest?
