Is there a way to set Hopper and jackpot limits differently
« on: October 22, 2018, 11:34:20 AM »
I have a double-double dollars IGT s+ machine.

I'm not sure what board I have but whatever I set the credit limit on the hopper that is the same as the jackpot reset.

I'm not even sure if it's possible on the S Plus, but is there a board that I can get where I can have the jackpot lock up at 1000 credit win, but have a much have a higher Hopper credit limit?

Ex. A single 1,000+ credit win = having to use jackpot reset key.

But can have available credits above 1,000.

The setup that I have whatever I set the jackpot reset on is the same as Max credits that I can have before it starts spitting out quarters.

If you to know why I want to do this read on.....

I do not play my slot every single day maybe once or twice a month but when I do play it it's for hours upon hours. Over the last year that I have had this machine I have noticed if I play with quarters roughly 24hrs later,  my eyes start itching really bad and I develop a rash across my chest. I know it sounds really stupid but I have tried this experiment five different times and it's the same thing.

I can go months and months be perfectly fine I play my machine with the quarters for 4 + hours and the next day I have the symptoms.

I have even tried washing the quarters in hot soapy water and cleaning my Hopper and all the parts in my Hopper along with the coin mechanism still same ordeal.

Yes you need a SP1271.  It will let you set hopper to 400 or 600 or 1000, etc, and credits to 9999.

The problem is most likely not the board but the SP chip.  Your DD/Dollars is a type 0 game. Have you looked at the PSR for your Sp chip number? It may just be a setting or the specific chip may match hopper and jackpot. I use an SP 1137 in a Triple Diamond I have. It allows a lot of different types of setups. I have mine set to give 99 credits for each quarter put in. If you put in 10 quarters you'll have 990 credits. Also when it's setup like that, the credit limit is automatically set to 9999. I also set the hopper to 50 coins. Also the wins will go to credits except for the jackpot which will go to a hand pay. It's a type 0,1,4,5,12 chip and will work in your machine. That way when you handle coins it will be a more limited exposure. Just a thought.

SP1137 would also be great on a machine that doesn't have a bill validator!
