How Do You Open A Locked Logic Board, With Lock Missing?.
« on: October 19, 2014, 06:42:33 PM »
I have a older W.M.S. BB1 The O.S. Card in the back and Game Card in front of it. The Logic Board is locked and the lock is missing. Does anyone know how to open the logic board cover w/o a lock.

Can I leave the cover off for better ventilation , or is their a switch that needs to make contact with the cover .

You should be able to put your finger in the top hole. You will feel a lever that needs to be pushed to the left and it will open.

To answer the other question, yes you can leave the cover off, but there's is a little toggle switch that is activated when the door closes.  You can see it in the center middle of where the door closes.  Most people just put some electrical tape with a hole in it to insert the switch pole and leave it in the closed position.

Great that you got it open. Another thing you will want to check is to make sure your fans are working. Especially the 2 in that box. I had only one working in 2 machines I have and had to replace them. I believe there are 6 fans total in the machine.
