e2241 hopper payout issue
« on: March 06, 2015, 06:54:35 PM »
Thanks for the help in the past and hopefully in this case.  This machine has set for about a year, getting the bugs out.  Now it's playing well, but is error codeing on payout.  Its giving an error code 33  then a flashing 3 code.   I have taken the hopper out and cleaned it and the connections.  The manual says its a power interruption, or interference.  Any help would be great.

I would be checking the power supply plug connections, and the solder joints on the back side of the power supply's header pins, (where your plug connects). Those solder joint fail causing the machines to cut out and reset.

Thanks for the reply.  I checked the plugs and the wire connections and solder joints.  They all seem fine.  Sometimes it will payout fine up to 15 coins.  When the payout is more, it will pay a few, then error code 33.  I open the door and hit reset and it will continue to payout the rest of the win.  Thanks for any help.

One other thing to check and that's your fuse holders. They can crack or loose a good connection with the cap. The metal tabs can break off inside that hold the caps on.

Thanks for the help!!!  I read the section of the manual about the hopper adjustments.  I cleaned it all, and adjusted the wiper arm, and the counting switch, which I think was the culprit, as it seemed far out of spec.  I have played it without flaw for a bit with 10 to 12 payouts over 6 with not a single issue.  I think we have it.  Thanks for the great help/suggestions!!! :thank_you: :thank_you: :thank_you: :thank_you: :dancing_2: :dancing_2: :dancing_2: :dancing_2: :dancing_2: :dancing_2: :dancing_2:
