« on: August 16, 2014, 03:57:32 PM »
Hello everyone...I am a newcomer If you hadn't already noticed..I have a question for you guys to test your knowledge....
On my IGT S+ (triple cash) no hopper, coinless with wba 10 ss bill validator. Already done the Ram clear, Set 123 chip process with
SS 6219 and SP 1311 chips. Bill validator worked once and shut down will not turn back on Now I have a "0" constantly blinking on coins played window..Set BV a few more times and same thing. The Cherry switch on back of can case is disconnected,  Has door optics and haven't tested voltage yet. ever run Into anything like this before?

Cherry switch on the back of the cash can has been disconnected??? Has it been spliced/connected to think its always closed? Or is it just hanging there?

No, It's gone completely, Don't know where the wire went, But it is a used machine from auction..Don't have  schematics to trace for a new wire....

Isn't the cherry switch behind the cash can for back end telltale equipment like it is on the S2000?

Yes, It Is nearly the same, S2000 has a ten wire hook up and S+ has 6 wire BUT ONLY 3 ARE USED, MY SCHEMATICS FOR connection  for wiring diagram is needed...I believe it has a 3 wire live with Closed open and closed...May have to pigtail two closed positions to see if it shows always normally closed..I am still trying to locate a diagram..Lost mine somehow...

On the S2000 it doesn't matter because all telltale equipment is pulled by the casino and the game doesn't need or recognize it for normal operation. The optics at the back of the cashbox still need to make up to prevent the game throwing an error code, but the cherry switch shouldn't matter

I agree, That shouldn't matter ...I believe it is a hopper program that tells the cpu we are dispensing coins (with no hopper in it)
rather than credits...I will work on that ..I just started trouble shooting this thing, so no telling what I will come up with... :banghead:

The bill validator is working, When I put in a dollar bill it takes it and gives me a 3200 (coin out tilt) I may need to concentrate on the
credits dispute.....

Sounds like the machine simply isn't set to "bank" credits and is trying to cash them out because you are trying to add more credits than a single max bet spin requires. I forget the setting you need to change to make all bills go to credits though, sorry

To disable hopper pay, push test button until the first 7 appears in the coins played window. Then use key to change to all zero's. Hopper won't pay and all cash outs will be like hand pay turning the key. Press test button 2 times I think. You will have a 2 or a 5 showing. Using your key turn until you get to 8. It is option 8 that needs to be changed for stack credits You can make 8-0 8-1 or 8-2. I am thinking it needs to be 8-1. If when you get to that setting if you have 8-1 then change to 8-0. It changes with the spin reels button. I don't have my notes with me, so going from memory. You must have zero credits to make changes.
Thank Ya Thank Ya Very Much.

Now I am  wondering If I didn't get the wrong SS and Sp chip I ordered...SS6219 and Sp1311 for 25 cent Triple cash 3 reel...
I don't have the sheet that tells me what chip is what....I have to lean on some vendor that might not get it right...The vendor I go through doesn't communicate too well....

The blinking zero means the game is ready to play. Do you know what I mean by test button? It is a little white button at the same place the on/off switch is. If you don't see it on the front you will need to reach behind the switch and feel for it. when you push it the display will change to different things. After a couple pushes you will see a 2 or a 5 in far left window. That is when you will turn the key to get to 8. It may show 8--0 or 8--1. Change it from what it say's now by pushing the spin reels button on door. Turn the key again to 9--0. set this to 9--1 to turn on BVD. If you can't change it you will need a set chip. Now push white button until you see a 7 in the coins played window at the right. it will most likely show 1000. Turn the key and the digits will flash. When you get to the 1 push spin reels until you have all zero's in the display, this will disable the hopper since you don't have one. Then push white test button till the machine goes blank and close the door. I guess another good question is after you turn on machine and close and latch the door, do the reels do a maiden spin and stop?
Thank Ya Thank Ya Very Much.

STARCREST: This is not intended for you personally, and is in no way an attack on you! This is for your "Vendor", who we know is lurking here! Geez, imagine that!?!!

Starcrest, We can tell you what chip you need/want. If a vendor doesn't answer your questions, and you find yourself here (when your vendor is NOT HERE), you may want to consider changing vendors. There will be times when a vendor makes a mistake, and there is no intentional wrong-doing....then there are THESE times!

I'm sorry to sound harsh, but it's complete and utter BS that people are selling stuff (on eBay or wherever) with "support" and not actually giving the support they sell and promote. NLG was not set up to be the fix to the "You done me wrong" song...we are here to help people, yes, but not for SALES SUPPORT, and not merely for victims of others unscrupulous sales tactics...Will we help you? Of course we will. Will we just forget about these vendors? HELL NO, this has to STOP! I, for one, will not be helping ONE MORE PERSON with EPROM ISSUES u til they disclose WHO they bought the chips from. Peace out.  :hail: :hail:

I would like to take a stab for another vendor... I have 11 IGT S+ machines that I'm refurbishing, Only one is kicking me down...
No, I am not a business just a hobby and need a lot of parts from you I hope...
I am still looking for IGT standard Sizzling 7s reel strips for 3 reel machine...If you have or anybody has some pass it along to me preferably...they are harder to find than I thought...

I took a break from this machine and started to refurbish some others..While I was thinking about It
I went back to my old school notes from 1990... and read where the wba 10ss Bill validator does not take bills upside down the head has to be pointed toward the right only (or It will not accept the bills) (The newer BV (200 etc) does not matter...so much)...and they simply will not take the newer dollar bills..At first I went to the bank and got brand new dollar bills to play with...That was the problem all along with my machine...
(Check the most simple thing first and then count down,  always)
Yes... the Triple Cash machine is up and running,  thanks to old notes and NLG people like you that cared enough to help out.........Thank ya, Thank ya very much.....
