Help with IGT slots

I just purchased 2 used machines and I need some help. First I need help identifying the models. They are both set to print tickets. When I plugged them in they were both working and had credits. My kids hit the cash out button and there is no money or tickets so they are both locked up with call attendant notes. Is there a quick fix? Can I set this up to not print or pay coins? Thanks for your help!

Welcome to NLG. You have 2 S2000 machines. I don't know if you can clear a call attendant error by opening the door and latching it a couple of times or not. This will clear many errors. I believe the machine can be set for a hand pay which would stop any cash payouts and you would have to get in the menu to disable the printer. Both of these can be done in the menu. I'm going to let one of the more knowledgeable S2000 people chime in to take it from here. Glad to have you aboard. And maybe we can get a moderator to move this to S2000 and Vision games.

Do you have a jackpot key for them. Does the error say hand pay call attendant. If you have the key open the door and turn the key that should reset your machines. Key is located outside on the right side of the machine as you are looking at them.

Thanks for the quick responses! The only key I have is the reset key. I'm not in front of them now but I believe the message says call attendant - out of paper/ticket

Just buy a stack of printer paper, around $5 or so for 200 tickets.  Any of the dealers listed in the home page should be able to provide them for you.

The reset worked and got me going again. I did order tickets. One of the machines will not accept dollars. I pulled the one from the working machine and tried it but it did not work either. Do I nee to re-initiate the bill acceptor?it is an MEI. If so how?

Just a note a caution, whenever you swap parts or add/remove things from a machine (other than adding paper), you need to do that with power off.  If you do it "hot swap" you may cause serious damage to your machine.

Are both units MEI validators?  Did the previous owner say both validators were working?  Do both machines have cash cans installed?

What is the model number on the sticker of the MEI head that doesn't work?  You may need to have the head re-flashed or it could be the wrong type.  It should be a 6602.
