Question about changing denominations
« on: April 02, 2022, 11:40:00 AM »
I just received my Triple Diamond S2000 with 502 board yesterday that is set at 0.25cents.  I installed a BETTOR TITO board today which required a clear and key.  I set the machine back up the way it was at 0.25.  I was wondering if I decide to change the denom, will I have to go back through all the setting again for the TITO and the machine?

Thanks,
Rick

The TITO legacy bonusing is based on the accounting denom. You can change the player denom with a simple key chip procedure. If you wish to change the accounting denom then a clear is required. At that point you will have to setup everything again.

My Accounting denom is set at .01, so I don't think I would need to change it.  So if I want to change the coin denom, Do I skip using the "Clear" chip and just use the key chip?
steps.
1. Turn off machine
2. Pull MPU and replace SB chip with KEY chip and reinstall MPU
3. Turn on machine
4. See 2 amber lights
5. Turn off machine
6. Pull MPU and replace KEY chip with SB chip and reinstall MPU
7. Power on

At this point, does it require the same steps as a clear and key?  Abbreviated version- Turning key 4 times and the  3 times?  Then go into Key Chip Config and set Coin denom and player denom.  and set that... Nothing else would need to be updated...Right?

That is correct. After you change the player or coin denom if applicable just close the door and it should be ready to play. Remember to cashout the machine before using the key chip. It will not work if there are credits on the machine.

Thanks for the help RB.  I successfully changed my denom to $10 and didn't screw up my TITO  :cool_thumb_up:
However, ran into another slight issue.  Apparently the limits are set at a $1,000.  To change the limts, is a Clear and Key required?  I found where to view the limit settings, but could not make any changes.  I set the denom to 10, so the 1,000 limits is a little low.  Not a deal breaker, but I found if you hit something that brings your credit over a 1,000, it will print a ticket for the credit over a 1,000.  I would rather not waste the paper...

You should be able to change the limits through the operator menu when there are no credits on the machine. You went pretty extreme on the player denom. $10 with a 1c accounting denom. $1 acct denom might have been more appropriate but you would have to clear to do that.

Yeah.  The meters will be running non-stop unless you disconnect and bypass them.
