s2000 door latch

When I try to close the main door of my slot machine the latch lever won't lock down in place. I pushed it down in place with a tool but when I tried opening the door the latch would not move upwards to open. Can someone please help me with this problem. Thanks

I would start by getting the door open and checking the hooks on the latching mechanism to make sure they aren't bent and then maybe the anchors on the cabinet to be sure they are mounted properly. The S2000 cabinet is known to be a little flimsy and you sometimes have to push on the side to get it to latch, but I've never really had an issue getting one to open. Also, your piano hinge on the door may be getting worn and allowing the door to hang to much.
