While I was at it, I made a extra key for the project locks, both are keyed alike.
It's not about just making the key to fit a lock, it's about presentation, the key looking really nice.

I've prepped the wood for the new background. It has to be perfect for the new background, I've filled in the issues, sanded it down using several different sandpaper grits. I think its coming along.

Working on the upper cabinet, my vision is a glass with パチンコ and a light behind it. Like the example of the one I am posting. I have several fuses, this way I am protecting the system. One is for the 110V, one is for the lights, and one is for the ball lifter.

Working on the decorations on the play field. I have been replacing the parts with clear lenses, red lenses. I have some blue lights on order for the clear lenses..

I installed a lock cover on the new lock. This is for the bottom door of the cabinet. I was able to install a locking system that required no modifications to the lock.

Working on the background board. I decided to paint it, since it was coming apart, then I glued it together again, the old holes, pieces of wood missing were filled, sanded smooth.
The front of the board was sanded smooth, the imperfections was taken care of, and the holes cleaned out. I added a extra light so I modified the board.

Installed another light, this one will stay on, also I have blue lights on order, which I will swap out for some red ones.

I am starting to work on the ball retrieval system. Ordered up some brass pipe for the ball return, I need to make the sweep up to the ball tray carefully so the balls won't get stuck. Also this will look really cool.

Just moving on with the machine. Putting in micro sensors, adjusting the winner flag, I don't know why they pin these flags down, however this is back and operating. If I got the plastic inside of the frame, I still have the glass to install outer frame.

I have to admit I suck at cutting glass, I must be really heavy handed, I snap the glass every time.

More work on the ball system, installed a micro switch for the ball motor. This way is it only runs when the balls are a in the tray. Getting more electrical work done, nice and tidy, I have notes on everything to help me keep track of everything. I am running 110 Volts, 12 Volts, so I need to stay focused.

Got the 110V power installed, I had to rewire it to work. The on-off switch is installed.

Working on the play field. Installing the background, nails, railing, decorations, and more.

Important note, don't allow the backing to touch the table you are working on, I have to refinish my kitchen table now.

A scrap of backing got on the table and now the table has a bald spot.

Still pushing onwards and upwards. Finally I found where the one part needed to go. I have been researching for the location. Brass nails are installed, I used a tack hammer to get them bottomed out properly, everything is working, the win flag, the parts are in behind the playing field. I figured out the window latch, its working excellent. I have been installing new screws throughout the project, replacing nails with screws, replacing old screws, replacing staples with screws. Overall, it's taking a lot of screws throughout the project, and new nails if required.
Interesting fact that this was made in Japan in 1970-1973, the wiring in using on the races to secure them to the play field is from WWII airplane US bomber factory used to tie the bolts and nuts together.
I added several lights in the game. Still more work to be done.

By the way, I am using some of my father in laws tools. He died in 2005, his tools were antique back then and his tools dated back to1900.

This is a "frog" theme pachinko. Getting more work done. Finishing up on the front of the game. All new rubber parts, everything is clean and serviced. It's looking awesome.

Working on the back now. I put new screws in the machine that were staples. The lock is functioning great, probably hasn't worked since it was in Japan.
I'm putting on the covers on the machine using all new nails, those other nails were nasty.
Some of the wiring harness was moved to accommodate the machine.
