Bally s6000 cash wheel (replaced battery) still have 88FF

I have replaced battery and am still getting the 88FF error code..  Could i just have a bad board?  The battery was not wanting to solder to anyuthing .  There was a repair on the back side of the board already.  Any trouble shooting for voltages?  thanks Dave

See if the battery voltage is reaching the RAM chips it is suppose to power.

Tes. i cleared the machine.   I did find that the negative connection. is not connecting to the board.    I would like to say problem solved but it is just starting!   Any suggestions?   and thanks for the help. i
The battery was secure, it just was not touching any copper in the board,  can it be fixed or need a new board. thanks Dave

Run a wire jumper from the (-) battery terminal to pin 7 of any 14 pin TTL chip or pin 8 of any 16 pin TTL chip.

I ran the jumper and i am past that i do have voltage.. I willl be looking into the nest error (progressive i am guessing).  thanks again Dave.

To Much Fun

After taking care of the last problem, i replaced the totally will not charge dead battery in the top box of the cash wheel.   
all good untill the reset button blinks red on boot.  I checked the power on the back pln brd (all good).  Thoughts are welcome  Dave  I also double checked all work and going to do it again...

Did you use a 3V rechargeable type battery ? Not a lithium.  Can you ost a picture of the battery installed on the board?

The battery is in correct and it is the identical battery .  The machine is working once again   the board blew out and have no idea why.   The board was changed and it is up and running.  It has code 0DM c10 and c14 in the progressive.  I can not find any info on the 0DM  has anyone seen that code or kn ow what it is?     appriciate all the help NLG members have given   Dave

The progressive uses a rechargeable 3 volt battery. Once the battery goes dead from an extended amount of time without being powered up, the progressive Mikohn board needs to be reprogrammed to get rid of the errors on the progressive display and then you can change settings on the slot machine in 11d to communicate with the progressive display to increment as it is played.
