OLED/Game issue on BB1 with NXTCPU2
« on: February 10, 2014, 11:25:38 PM »
Hey gang,
I only have a few of the BB1's that were converted to NXT2 CPU's, dual screens and OLED panels and usually don't have any issues with them but I have one that was ram cleared when I got it and wasn't sure what OS it was running from the previous owner, so I ran the downloader tool to get button firmware versions and there was only info in the panel section saying "v3.03". Nothing for the buttons.
Knowing I was going to load SSSG-000-1681, I flashed the panel with 3.02 firmware for buttons and panel, loaded the game and OS (Fortune of the Caribbean -Money Burst)  and got the following machine fault on a blue screen. Tried the restart thinking something didn't load properly but same result. The panel shows connected during bootup and all buttons are lit do it isn't an obvious button module issue. Any help would be great.

Use os ssg1696. It will fix it.

So, is it a known issue of some sort? I have another machine operational with the same OS with no issues. Is it something I should eventually expect with it as well?
Thank you KM , Off to find 1696 (or 2)

The newer os will program the deck for you  os ssg 1696 for h13 series and os ssg 1480 for h9 series so then you don't need to hook a laptop up to program the deck.
I learned a ton from Idesign.
