Is this caused by or related to having a bad battery in the machine? You need to make sure all batteries in the machine are good.

You may need to do a Ram Clear procedure. Do you have the Ram Clear CF card? This will reset everything on the machine, so don't do this unless you have no other option to get rid of that error 721. I cut & pasted these instructions, steps 1 thru 7 are duplicated in photos 1 & 2.

I don't know where to get one but maybe someone here on NLG has one or can help find one. I edited my post above to include the Ram Clear instructions. Some of the screenshots from the manual don't show up clearly, but maybe when you see the screens in person on your machine they will make sense.

Have you checked the batteries on the mpu board? I think there may be 2 of them. Was the machine working ok for a while, then this error happened, or did you just get the machine and it was already doing this?

Looks like the mpu board has 2 cf card slots. The Ram Clear card gets inserted into the lower card slot. Always power off the machine when removing, disconnecting or installing parts.

I think there are some folks here that are familiar with Konami. but it may take a day or so for them to login and post advice. What about my questions in Reply#3 above? The answers might help to get you more help.

ok, no problem, just need to get some easy stuff out of the way. Has the machine been moved, or was there possibly an electrical storm, something that could have caused the error you are getting? Did you change game cards in the machine?

Here's another Konami Ram Clear instructions sheet, notice it says that there are 2 different Ram Clear cf cards, the one you use depends on how many Game Theme eproms are on the memory board.

No the machine hasn't been moved or had the game card changed and I don't believe we had any storms at that time which may have affected the machine.

It may take you a little while to locate a Ram Clear cf card, in the meantime someone that knows more about your machine than I do may say the Ram Clear isn't needed (hope so). So keep watching this thread. And maybe read thru the other Konami repair discussions in case this problem has already been talked about.

Here's a post about clearing the ram on a Konami machine but I don't think it is the same model as yours:

you're welcome. When I looked back thru the old discussions about people needing a Konami ram clear cf card everyone mentioned to contact the person below (Jim at Blue Ridge Slots). The link below is his profile page, there is a place to click and send him a pm. He might have the Ram Clear cf card for sale, and he might be able to say if the error your machine has will be fixed by doing a Ram Clear procedure. Good Luck!

He also has a store on ebay:

I just had this same issue, and code.
Needed to do a ram clear (requires a ram clear compact flash card) follow my video posted above on how to do the ram clear, and also if your game has the stand alone progressive then you can follow my “how to” on that also at the top of the main page.
Purchase a ram clear on eBay, but toss the directions that come with it, and follow mine.
Unless he’s updated his directions the machine will not work in a home setting with the directions he sent me.

Have fun with the game, they are good machines.
