i know on some of these old machines you can use the numbers on the ID plate to find out what Cassino or business originally owned a machine. I’m curious to find out where this one came from. Any info would be appreciated.😊

It’s not much, but it’s nice to know what casino the machine was sold to.
Also, you can compare part numbers to see if the machine has been modified.

This is based on the top number 1090-?

I guess I don’t understand what numbers they are using. I assumed that it would be the numbers on the outside of the cabinet on the metal tag but I see nothing on that list that would apply to my tag numbers. Maybe this list doesn’t cover all 1090 machines made?

Reading the list 1090 on the top was made by and used in the Bally casino.
The 1090 I have is a 1090-1 I believe, but it’s been awhile since I’ve checked the metal tag.

Ah, so it’s the top number on the plate. I just assumed that was the model number and the bottom number with all the extra digits is the one to go by. One weird thing though. It says my 1090 was originally a dollar machine but it’s nickels now. Seems like it would be a lot of work to convert since the hopper, all glass , coin mech, and even the slot on the front of the machine would have to be swapped out. Is this something they would even mess with?

Many of these machines had second lives. They were rebuilt and retagged. It was very common practice. That why you see this one was a Dollar game and now it’s a nickel slot.
Please remember to make a donation to NLG for mine/our help in repairing your machines problem.. Your donations help keep this site on line.
And remember...
If it's jammed, force it.. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyways...

Wow, I didn’t even notice it takes 4 coins Jon. Looks like all the glass was custom made.
Would like to see a close up of the payouts That 4th coin really pays! Wonder if the reels were modified?
The 1088 I have hits 3 bars at least once an hour, but it only pays 100 coins $25.00.

Yes a better picture would be nice I am guessing they took away one bar on each real of a 1088 and give it to the fourth coin symbol I cannot see what that symbol is it is it is a beautiful machine though I would probably keep it in my game room I like custom machines I like some of the rare ones but the custom ones when they're made right are really cool
