BB2 Printer open error

Hello all, after fooling around with this BB2 Ruby Slippers for along time and figuring out how the switches work on most stuff and correcting other problems. The problem with the machine now and I think the only problem is that when I close the door it says checking memory or something like that for about 30 to 45 seconds then the call attendant pops up. I then open the door back up and push the diagnostic switch it shows Printer open. I can pull the printer out a little and pop it back in place and the Printer open goes away. Shut the door and then checking memory comes back up and then call attendant pops back up. Open door push diagnostic button and Printer open is back. It does this over and over. Is there actually a switch that closes when the printer is pushed all the way in or is it something else it is detecting? I guess what I am asking is what causes the Printer open error? At least I have learned a lot about the BB2 machines so far. Thanks to all so far.
