« on: January 30, 2020, 01:47:50 PM »
Hello,I am looking to buy my firstslot machine that i can change games when they get boring,I have found BB2 and BB3 being the most popular? Or is there a better type to start with?I found this locally on ebay, not sure if its a good price or if there is anything i should be on the lookout or watch for in my purchase. Its a lot of money for me, so i want to make sure to make a good purchase.

Welcome to NLG!

It's a good price if you're in Arizona.

You've linked us to a BB Blade - one of the most expensive games on the open market.

You'll be in the poor house soon with one of those.

Better keep your day job!

Ok, what can you recommend then, that isn't going to be so expensive?

Casinos will be off-loading all their BB2's very soon....parts will be abundant and the prices will drop.
The market will be over-loaded.
Everybody in the casinos are playing the newer ones with all the bells and whistles such as the Blade and other games and platforms with the 20 ft tall multi-displays.
Again, it's really a personal preference and what you can afford.
Just Google or search through ebay how much game kits are for each platform you like and you can compare prices very easily.
Personally, I play with S+'s and S2000 Visions....these machines are well over 20-30 years old.
It's all up to you what you like.

Also depends on your budget.  The good value with lots of games available are the BB2's, about 1/2 the price.  The game you posted is a very good price for a blade, but the games will cost more if you want to build up your library.  For somewhere in between the bb2 and bb3 budget, also look into an IGT AVP cabinet (SMLD, G20 or G23) with multigames and "show chips" on it.  The cool thing about the platform is that you can load a LOT of games at the same time, and you just switch using a menu.  The BB2's and Blades you have to clear and setup a game each time you want to change it, other than the gamechests which are multigame sets that have between 4 to 6 games depending on platform.  If you get an IGT AVP machine, make sure you get one with an MLD display.  The other popular platform is the Bally Alpha 2, but they tend to be around the same price as the blade as their cabinets are popular overseas and "second tier" casinos.
If you find the site helpful, consider becoming a contributing member.  It pays for costs and keeps this site alive.  I do not respond to requests for private, one-on-one help. Your questions should be posted in the appropriate forum where they may help others as well.

Thanks for that. Any ideas where to get a IGT AVT cabinet that is in great shape at a decent price? (or a good BB2, still undecided). That might be a good option.

From time to time, vendors come on here at NLG and look at he Classifieds section of NLG to post stuff they want to sell or get rid of.

But I'm sure they look at the WTB ads that our members post too.

They have websites or phone numbers on the home page of NLG.

I would suggest placing an WTB ad in the Classified section for the kind of machines/ games you want and hopefully someone will have one to offer you?

I highly recommend a SMLD machine from Harvs.  Best value on the planet with this machine with dozens of games available to play.  Also lower cost, you cannot go wrong!  :-)
