Mk7 main board versions in Oz?

I am trying to figure out what the difference is between the different Mk7 main boards here in Oz? Do they differ significantly to the US versions? I read a post on another forum that related to US machines that need set chips that there are:


Green boards: RevA and Rev B - 19" widescreen support and CF card games with SIM
Red board + GT430 video card - 4GB RAM
Red board + GT630 video card - 4GB RAM


do all the RED boards support the SSDs in place of the Compact Flash?


when and with which models did the buttons go from static to OLED?


I am trying to put together a machine via parts but with all these options its looking like a nightmare!

From what I understand.  You will need a Red board if you want to use the dynamic panel.  The setchip depends on the OS that is present in the game card, not on the mpu type.  You can use the GT630 video card in any red board as long as you have the newer bios chip and the game you are loading has an OS that supports the GT630.  All games designed to work for the MKVII platform will work with the GT430 with no issues.  I have also found that HELIX games (MKVIII) will work on these MKVII boards albeit a bit slower during some game sequences.  You can use an SSD on any of the red boards, but most software comes in CF cards anyway.  It does load faster when the same game is on an SSD though.

and finally with the screens... The red support touch and non-touch 22" while the green boards support 19" touch and non-touch?

You do need the sim (smart card) with the ssd also.

looking at the parts manual for Veridian which is 2008 (pre-dates RED boards) it shows schematics for three different jurisdictions:
