Bill Validator stops working - occasionally

So the bill validator on my game king works great... for a while.  Once we use it a few times it stops working. The main lights stay on but the “ready to accept bills” lights turn off.  Usually when this happens we turn it on the next morning and all is fine.  Is there a simple fix for this?  I have tweaked the tabs under the cash box... that is not the problem... just wondering why all of a sudden the bill validator  stops working.  I have to assume this may be a common issue... thanks in advance!!

What is you BV limit set at? Are you sure it's just not maxed out with credits?

No not that... we are always down to zero credits when it stops working.  This may seem weird.. but it is like when it warms up it stops accepting bills and tickets.  We turn it off and the next day... starts working fine again.

I have the same problem kinda, machine works fine then the bill validator will start to cycle on and off.  Then a Call Attendant - Bill Validator Comm failure and Touch screen communication failure shows up on the monitor.  I have reseated the Bill Head and Cash Can many time,  I have a MEI unit and when its not working the 3 lights "green/yellow/red" on the bill head are flashing.  Do I need to replace the MEI unit?

I have figured out that the problem happens when the machine gets warm.  Once it has been playing for a while, it throws a "Bill Validator Stacker Error" tilt and stops accepting bills (the lights turn off).  Then we shut it down and the next time it is turned on (ie a day later) it works fine.  Anyone have an idea what might cause that?

what type of validator do you have? there are a lot of different ones out there(dbv200, wba, uba, mei).


you mentioned this happens when the machine warms up, are all your fans working?


what setup are you running? 3802, 3902, 4400, avp. we are not mind readers and cant see your machine, so we need more information then it just stops working.

Validator is WBAFans are all workingNot sure how to tell what the setup is...  The part number is 76923201...
