GEN2 Ticket Printer Jamming on S2000

So my S2000 will print fine for just a little bit, but it's constantly jamming or something. Sometimes the ticket just barely prints out about 1/4" to 1/2" then stops... then a few seconds later it prints the rest out. Sometimes it prints out enough for me to barely get my fingers on it... and then print out. Then the worst is when I can barely see it come out... and is just stuck the entire time rumbling. I have to go into the printer and get it out.

I don't know if this is a printer hardware issue or if it just needs cleaning? I've never cleaned one before as I'm new to the machines, but I also don't know if it's hardware related. Or is something actually blocking the paper from coming out?

I don't want to mess with it even more until I have a better idea of how to handle this. I already got the paper out message not clearing until I opened and shut the main door about 10 times.

Tighten down the spring-loaded thumb nut, and make sure the blue lever on the right-hand side of the printer is up.

I believe you're talking about a different model printer. Mine has no blue lever or thumb nut. I see this attached model has what you're talking about, but please see my picture in my first post for the printer I have.

Oops...sorry, I just looked quickly and saw the bezel.
On the Gen2's, you have to change the O-ring rubbers and clean every roller.
Dis-assemble and clean completely.
or buy another old one?
They were made a long time ago...I don't think I've ever seen a brandnew one....lol

This guy is ruining five S2000's...stripping them out...at least there's a buncha parts available.
