Adding a printer to a 17" Game King 3902 based machine
« on: July 22, 2015, 04:41:18 PM »
I just purchased a 17" Game King with a 3902 board.  Unfortunately, it did not come with ticket printer.  I have what I believe is a Gen1 printer from a S2000 machine.  Can I install this in the Game King?  The cable on the printer has two connector, an 8 pin and a 3 pin.  I don't see a corresponding connector pair in the top box.   Do I need another harness or can I modify this one.  And where would the printer connect to?   I'm relatively new to this so I don't have any documentation.  Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Mike

yes you do need another harness actually.  it's about 10 inches long and it connect the standard printer harness with the small power distribution board in the top box.  The firmware in the printers are the same for those games so you don't need to update the printer or anything.  Just get the additional wire and hook straight into the power distribution.

Thanks for the quick answer!  Would you happen to know the P/N or wiring diagram for this cable.  If you know of a place I could order one that would be great.

Thanks

Mike

Verify that you have that power distribution board in your top box first. You should have it but make sure. I have those cables in stock. I don't normally get requests for them so we can work out something really cheap. Give us a call at the office tomorrow and ask for Nevin jr. I'll get you taken care of. 954-974-3455
