Okay lets see where this goes and if it takes my whole post. Again I have two S2000 machines. One that works fine, and the other one that first started out with a Netplix display error that after about 5 minutes went to a Ram Error. I was able to clear it with cycling the key 4 times and then holding the reset button. Now I have a Door Open MB and Slacker door open displayed. The door input test shows the main door as a solid. I assumed assume its been rewired for that, and the cash door is a 1 with the black and green twisted together and a 0 when they are detached. MPU board looks good but Im unsure of the next thing to look at.

Post a picture of your MPU board. Is the green battery removed? If not remove it as it is not needed for home use. Does there appear to be battery acid damage anywhere? Common problem for battery acid to cause door open errors. If that is the case a new MPU or getting yours repaired may be necessary.

I seem to be having a problem with all of my post. If I put any punctuation in it will normally stop right at that spot. So from this point on I apologize if words are not correctly punctuated.

Can you give us a close up the area I circled in yellow? Your pic is a little too blurry to tell. This is where there would be damage and a clearer picture would show if there is any discoloration at all.

Well the picture is still a bit blurry but it does look clean. I have attached some photos of two examples of battery damage. Photo 1 is very obvious damage with corroded white traces and Photo 2 is pointing out the more subtle damage with traces that are a bit discolored underneath the green board mask. They will appear like dark spots over the trace lines.

Besides battery damage check the pins on the MPU board that are in the two white connectors that slide into the backplane of the slot machine. Are any of them bent at all?

Funny this website still does not allow for punctuation and that is why it cuts off. So that last part was it still did not work.

When did you bypass the optics? And what wires did you connect together? Is it similar to this diagram?

The red from the door and the green from the cabinet need to be switched on and off for door closed and open respectively. The other two wires green from door and purple from cabinet are not used anymore so tape them off. The cash can stacker door can continue to be twisted together and make sure the belly glass door switch is connected together as well.

The other other two wires green from the door and purple are connected but I will disconnect per this diagram. I had followed that same diagram but it obviously had the wires connected. I hate to sound ignorant but Im not sure what your talking about when you say belly glass door switch.

Honestly if you had the purple and green connected already it is okay. They can be connected or they can be left alone. Either way will work. I just did not recommend it since it extra work. The belly door is the small door at the bottom of the main door that allows access to the cash box without opening the main door. It is opened by pulling a knurled knob out. I have it highlighted that knob in the photo below. Once opened there will be a switch like in my second photo. That switch can be bypassed if you so desire. If the switch is working properly and the door is closed it should not be a problem.

haha....I made that colored wiring diagram for a bypass when I bought my first S2000.  :Tongue_Out:

At the time I made that drawing, I didn't know that I did not need the other two wires to make it bypass the door optics as I was just beginning to understand how an S2000 works.

I don't believe anyone else had ever published a door optic bypass on NLG before I did.

I needed to make the drawing with my computer so I could help out a member bypass their burned out door emitter optic.

Thanks for revising it DB26!   :cool_thumb_up:

I did one more Revision....lol

I have an updated photo of what subtle trace damage could look like. This photo shows more clearly the dark spots under the solder mask.
