s-avp input voltage
« on: November 02, 2018, 09:16:37 AM »
I'm in the process of buying my first s-avp from US an getting it shipped to Norway.
Here we use 230V 50Hz.

I'm told that these machines only run on 115 60Hz, so here is the question;

What is the best option?

To get a correct power supply and install it in the machine?

Or just use a converter to convert the power down to 110V (115V)?

Or maybe there is some other options I'm not aware of?

Any inputs her really helps ;)

The power supplies on all my AVP machines are rated at 100-250v 50-60 hz.  I'm pretty sure they all use the same type power supply.  You might want to have the person selling your machine send you a photo of the power supplies in the cabinet to make sure though.  But both my G20 and G23 use 100-250v 50/60 hz power supplies.

I peeked at one s-avp when I was in Las Vegas, it said 120v 60Hz 6A, so I have no doubt in the information I got, but could it be several types of power supplies used in different machines?

I do not want to experience magic smoke.... at all :Tongue_Out:

All the IGT machines I currently have are 110-250v 50/60hz on the side tag, and the internal power supplies confirm it.  Have the supplier send you a photo of your tag.  I've never seen an IGT power supply that was not 110-250v 50/60hz.  It is easy enough to verify when you get your machine, so you don't risk the smoke.

Thanks, I'll sure check it out.

But in the worst case, I could only change the power supply?

Yes, if you just change the power supplies you should be good.  Some cabinets have multiple power supplies for various components, so you will have to look at all the power supplies to be sure.  On my G20 I have a power supply for the MLD monitor and a power supply for the rest of the cabinet.

Found some pictures on my phone.
I took pictures of the serial plate on 3 different machines.
Two of them only had 120V but one could handle all voltages
