Building a Bally Play Nickels Win IKE Dollars slot machine

I’m not sure what that belly glass is called but i am building a similar machine like the one on the picture and I'm looking for the belly glass with a half bowl window

Any info about building a similar machine or if anyone have any experience making one would be very interesting!

Not a difficult conversion to do. I happen to have several “Play Nickels Win IKE Dollars” machines. All played coins divert directly to the chute ending up in the drop and an easy way to accomplish this is to adjust the hopper coin level to the full position which will keep the level switch engaged. This will divert all coins. As far as the Belly glass, there were a couple of different styles made. Some had the bubble glued from the back into a flat piece of acrylic and others are a single sheet with the bubble molded in. Behind it is a white piece of plastic with spacers You would probably be better off going to a plastic fabricator and having it made. This belly glass is usually very difficult to find and also expensive.

Sounds good, but since I don’t have any parts yet I guess I need to start somewhere
I have several machines I can use, any ideas, how about a 831 or 809, or a 742 ?

Could you post some pictures of some of your machines ?

Do you have any parts for sale that could help me start this project?

I don’t have any parts for sale. As expensive as it will be to get everything together, I’d say you would be better off finding a complete machine. These pictures are of 2 machines I have. The shorter one has the 2 piece belly glass, while the taller has the one piece molded. The shorter of the 2 is based on an 809 and has been the more common of the 2. I see a few of these machines sell per year. In the end, the machine itself is basically a novelty with very low payout percentages.

Yes I guess you right, it would be a lot cheaper to find a complete machine, but it will probably be hard to find one here in Europe..

It sounds like a challenge but I’m up for it

I have several different hopper that I can use,  So I’m very curious what I do with the hopper, is there a special contact plate assy that I need?
