Aladdin - top box lost communication

Trying to get Aladdin and the magic quest going with a tse.  I have the tse plugged in and the game loads, but call attendant shows up.  When turning the key, I get the top box lost communication notification.  Any ideas?

Make sure you have the CF card installed in the Tse.  Needs to be the L549 image on it.  Or perhaps in the setup menu under GAME you can answer NO to the top box question....


More importantly..................Where did you find the ALADDIN set???? !!!!

Pricey for sure!!!

Hook a VGA monitor to the TSE and make sure you have the L549 image indicating the TSE is working.

Thanks everyone.  Turns out Aladdin does have an option in the game config to turn off the top box.  Up and running now!  Much appreciated!

My Time Machine game has that same error intermittently and is using the Kahuna Kash topbox CF. It used to work great for many months. Any thoughts on what could be happening to cause that error?

You should be using the L549 CF file for that one and also check the battery in the Tse Board.

OK, I'll replace the battery but where do I find the L549 file you refer to? My card shows L506-000-1000. And it has worked for 10 months. Thanks!!
