Bally 809 ZF MT 2065

I just registered today as I was very impressed with the number of useful postings. It is now time to tune-up my Bally 809 ZF MT 2065 single line payout three quarter 7's and bars only machine with a manufacturing date of 3/31/69. I would appreciate if someone could interpret what type of machine an 809 should be, who it was made for and what does the MT 2065 mean? I want to see if my machine is a hybrid or is truly optioned as of the date of manufacturing. Also, where could I obtain a listing of the codes for the model numbers and and a listing of the codes for whom the machines were produced for? Many thanks.

The 809 Bally is a single line 5 coin game. I’ve attached pic of two different versions. One is a fruit machine, the other is known as a jackpot only game or JPO. That is what yours sounds like. The other letters and numbers found on the tag tell who ordered the machine and or where it went. There are a couple members that have that information. Hopefully they will chime in. Oh yea  :NLG_WELCOME:

Here is a page from a list of Bally 809 machines.
Post a photo of the machine and shot with the door open looking straight in.
Could be a machine that has been modified with circuit board control units.

That’s not an 809 model. It been rebuilt into something else. This happened quit often.

Model numbers are not important when coming to do any repairs or maintenance in a Bally EM. The more  complicated machines like a continental, might need a schematic for doing a repair, but these don’t. Any way your likely not going to find one on a machine like this that was rebuilt in the back room of some casino. It’s a very common thing that was done. Basiclally you just need to clean and lube the reel assembly and handles gearbox.
