The Windows SRM is what determines installer requirements.
*If AWI0240213A then you need AIN0000213A
*If AWI02X0000A then you need AIN0000000B or AIN0000000C.
The bios you have in there works with the older AOS0000213B OS as well as the newer AOS0000221D.
Looking at the pic it seems your Ram clear is corrupt, maybe try another AIN0000000C if you have one.

If you wish to switch back to Alpha platform the 2.4 MPU requires Bios 269338B and OS370B or OS370C.

Hope this helps,

David

Then it would have to be the AIN0000213A installer.

If it was a fresh MPU with only the bios installed, either installer would work to format the drive but if there is a Windows version currently loaded then the installer has to match. I would try to locate 213A if you don't have it and give that a go.

A lot of variables these days. They are getting closer to a WMS, Bally, Shufflemaster uniform configuration. The newest WaveXL (BH-1) runs the 4.2.2 like Twinstar and so does the "born as" 27/27's but the Twinstar 3 reel transmissive uses a 4.1.2 like the WMS Gamescape.  I'm building a matrix for my matrix lol.

Speaking of Twin Star hardware, I noticed that SG has converted some Alpha 2 - 27/27 to be able to run Twin Star games and changed the Bally logo at the footrest to SG.

With that being said, will it be able to install Twin Star hardware into a Alpha 2 22/22?

There are 2 different "27/27's", early ones were a conversion from bally as it is essentially the lower part of the wave cabinet. It was an option to get away from the overpriced wave monitor.  Some have A2 hardware and are called V27/27 and the newer ones have SG hardware like a 4.2.x CPU, those are called TwinStar Slant.  Bally does make a bios for 2.4 that works with ArgOs but I'm not sure what all games it can run and it also takes a fairly hard to get video card. Some of the TwinStar software has to recognize Twinstar hardware like button panel and cabinet lighting etc.

It think it is going to take someone playing around and doing trial and error with some twinstar software on a 2.4, like in a wave or decked out 22/22 to see what works as Bally isn't going to be much help since they have a cabinet for both scenarios, they would just direct you accordingly.

Hope this helps

RVC,

Which version of ArgOs do you have for the 2.4 CPU's?

Which USB installer are you using to install the OS?

I have (2) 2.4 CPU's but they are running Alpha 2 stuff.   Thought I would try one out soon if I could get enough stuff together to run the ArgOs.

I already have the AMD 4P E8870 Video card needed.

If the 211 bios is on the usb installer then I can flash my bios, if not then I will have to find one.

I also have a pile of SG games , I think 19 of them now.

I am a little confused on how you burned the bios.

Did you burn the bios chip with a external burner?

Or did you move the jumper on the 2.4 CPU then boot with  USB that had ABIPF240211A  Bios?

Here is a picture of all of the SG install media I have.

Hoping you can identify if I have the correct installer for the 2.4 CPU with ArgOs  and 211 bios.

Install AIN0000000C
& USB With
Bios ABIPF240211AOS AOS0000221EWindows AWI02X0000AJur JRUSNVCS0H
I burn a new chip with the BIOS in the USB to be able to run the USB Install, you can not update it from the Alpha 2 platformOnce you have the correct BIOS you will not have problems installing the OS and the Game, in my case it was like that, some time ago I stopped trying to make it work, I have a lot of work doing other things, but if you have news for this to work, would like to know how

Here is a matrix that might help, Use the 213A to install everything on a 2.4X CPU, don't use AIN000000C
If it ain't broke don't mess with it.....
