Sha failure

I recently purchased a 39 chip off ron
Worked a treat on my kitty glitter👍
Tryed it on an old flash that constantly failed on sha and dsa checks
The chip gets me passed sha and dsa checks and game plays fine but i have no volume
Have i missed something or could a Faulty component on the flash board be causing this
If i put kitty glitter in it the volume works fine

Be sure the boot chip & flash board are fully seated (no bent pins, etc). Restart it a couple times. Sometimes the sound doesn't work until after setup.

I have had many flash boards where the sound does not work, it is definitely something on the flash board.  I have some flashboard that work perfectly fine, but have no sound, no SHA OR DSA error or anything, just no sound.  All pins good, etc.
