Bally Alpha v20/20

Hello,


I recently picked up a Bally Alpha v20/20 from a storage locker and was able to isolate the following problems:


Main monitor (20")
MPU (512MB)
BAD Video card (128MB)


Finding parts has been a little difficult. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Based on the BIOS of the mpu, you have a 1Ghz/1GB RAM mpu, it is the older style (without memory slots) 1Ghz mpu. The mpu and monitors should be easy to find, I don't know why you are having such a hard time.  The video card is a bit rarer to find, but it can be found.  Are you outside of the USA?

I was able to determine that you had a 1Ghz mpu because the bios chip on your mpu is for a 1ghz mpu.  The cpu on the mpu assembly is a 1Ghz mpu, the older ones had either a 300 or 400 Mhz cpu.  Also if you look a the PCA part numbers:

PCA39456-0-0 is 300/400 Mhz
PCA39456-4-0 is 1 Ghz.

The part number is usually a sticker on the mpu near the Bally Gaming + Systems printed markings next to the piezo speaker.
