Thanks for helping.  I recently purchased a Bally Continental 847-5, 6-coin dime machine.  So far, everything works just fine except it does not return the 7th (or more) coins to the coin tray like it is suppose to.  It just keeps the coins and the 6th coin light keeps on clicking like it received the 6th coin.  I think that someone in its past fooled with it as I read that it hums when it operates properly, which is fine with me.  I would like it to work as intended and reject the extra coins to the coin tray.  Can anyone help me on this one?  I am a novice, but do know a little about these (how to use a volt/ohm meter and I am a good cleaner--Ha!).  Thanks,  Vito

Vito, it sounds like you are missing the coin lockout flap that sits behind the coin mech, or someone bent the arm back so it does not deflect the extra coin. remove coin mech and tell us what you find. Good luck, The wizard.

Took off the coin mechanism and don't see a flap.  I will take a couple of pics and post them.  Thanks for the help!

Here are pictures of the back of the coin mechanism and the opening that the mechanism came out of from the door.

Vito,

As Pinballwizzard55 mentioned. You are missing the coin lockout paddle and spring. Someone probably removed it because it was making noise/buzzing.

I need to purchase these parts--any ideas where they can be found?  If anyone out there can help me here or steer me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks for all of the help so far, I am getting there.
