Bally 1039 Las Vegas tilt issues

I dragged home another Bally Las Vegas slot machine yesterday and after several hours shopping the machine I found out that the tilt light won’t turn off, I tried to disconnect the tilt switch but then the game didn’t work?

I can play when the tilt light is on but it doesn't pay out when I win? Is that because of the tilt ?

When the tilt switch is in it's normal position it won’t work, isn’t that strange?
