I understand two things when it comes to code 71. It can be either a door switch error or a reel error depending on machine (chip?) type. Everything that I have read so far tells me this. But for some reason, I can not keep the code 71 from tilting the machine. It does not happen all the time. There could be 5 game played to 100 before the machine tilts with code 71. It had to play better than this if it was in Vegas at one time. LOL
How can I wire the door switch (hinge) to by-pass it?
Things that I have done so far:
Removed and cleaned all old grease from the reel assembly and re-oiled with 3 in 1 oil. The two black oxide cross shafts that the linkage is mounted on do spin freely when you try to spin them with your fingers.
Installed new coil sleeves in the coil mechs. and used graphite inside the sleeves.
Rebuilt the reel readers. (Led and photo-transistor) Moving reels readers do not matter, the problem does NOT follow the reel reader.
Re-pinned all the connectors going to the MPU, I/O, Power supply, Reels and Reel control board.
One more thought....could it be the needle bearings in the reel wheels? The first one does wobble a little bit as does the second one. The third one seems to be pretty smooth. Can I change this out?
Please see the video and tell me what you think.
