Bally E series won't accept coins
« on: September 12, 2016, 09:28:58 PM »
Hi everyone , I got this machine from friend of mine who did not wanted any more and we all know that its because it does not work , in beginning I thought it was because of solenoid that would release pull handle but I was wrong , I notice when I push down on the coin drop spring to see if I get credits , I can hear click which will show register coin on  DIRECT TO CASH BOX meter but , that's all it does and I do not get any credit so I can pull the handle , also the solenoid does not release the handle , one other thing I notice is normally when any older  machine gets turn on the plate under the coin comparator gets erected and solenoid activates it , in this machine that does not happen , any help will be thankful

Well all I can tell you is its NOT a E series slot!
Its a 815  referred to a EM- short for "Electrical Mechanical".
No circuit boards all solenoids and relays.
1st rule of electronic repair.

Do you have the hopper for that machine, its not pictured?  Your going to need a EM manual. There are a series of contacts and relays that have to be cleaned and possiblie adjusted for it to work or take coins.
Please remember to make a donation to NLG for mine/our help in repairing your machines problem.. Your donations help keep this site on line.
And remember...
If it's jammed, force it.. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyways...

the hopper has to be pluged in to make a connection to make it work.

i have the manual.

pm me you email address and i can send it to you.

all so check the 2 big molex plugs that go in to the door on the side. that come from the inside of the slot to the door.

they have a big oeange and yellow wire.

that where a lot of issuses are...

make sure they are not burnt and plug in tight..
Thank you..
