Bally E-2000 5R1L with credit problem

Amechanic and GOS have been helping me ferret out the problem I was having with this slot regarding getting the credit meter to display credits.
The game would play and accumulate credits and allow the play of credits but credits would not display on the credit meter.
I read some old posts about I/O board jumpers and MPU DIP switch settings but both were false leads.
I finally got the courage to remove the LARGE top glass and found the credit meter board.
Fortunately I had about 8 boards tucked away in a box and the first board I tried fixed the problem.
MPU DIP switches all off except #8.
The game is now fully functional.

Glad you found the problem. Figured the problem had to be in the top box. At least now I know what that spare board I have here, that I’ve been kicking around is for now🤔.. I’ll have to mark it. After seeing it game, I do remember tearing one down a few years ago.

I did find a document on the MPU DIP switch options, pretty cool, the game has a attract mode.
