AVP BOOT ISSUE
« on: May 31, 2019, 07:16:52 AM »

I recently put a Solid State Hard Drive in my plain old MLD 3.0. I was able to install the OS9 and I only put one game in that installed. I then tried to Boot up and got the Mass Storage Authentication Issue. I then went and put my Diagnostic 14-9 in and did a Wipe, not wiping the Hard Drive. I then Ekeyed to get to the Maroon setup screen and again got the Mass Storage Issue. My boots are S boots. Not sure what's up as it worked before I effed it up. Just won't boot up and cycles...  I checked harnessing, replaced ribbons, checked PCI and RAM sticks, I also added 4GBs just before the hard drive change and it worked fine. I also did a complete wipe and again was able to install the OS, 1 game and again same issues.

I've had that issue with ssd's that don't seem to be compatible with the mpu's chipset.  I've since switched to using only sandisk ssd's and have not had any issues.

I switched back to the original Hard Drive and am getting the same problem. I am complete wiping, installing the OS . As the OS install goes in I get an error "unzip terminated abnormally but also Install complete. I can put a game in and install that. Here's when the issues begin. I pull my ekey shut the machine down reboot and I get STORAGE AUTHENTICATION FAILED...….I'm sure my diagnostic and EKEY7 work as I put them in another machine and they popped up...… I'm wondering about my OS. It shows up in the package removal in the diagnostic screen. I cant reach the EKEY menu at all..... that's what the issue boils down too....

This whole thing started when I accidently put a XXX3 in my SMLD. Reel software.

Sounds like your OS is corrupt.  I would try and find a known working OS.
