Can Brides Maids be standalone?

Picked up Brides Maids game GI014002QD4C001V02.
I am getting a controller error of some sort.  I cant quite make it out.  I do not believe it is IPC. 
Can anyone tell me if this game can be ran standalone or does it need additional hardware / controller?The top box display is also 90 degrees off.  If I was able to rotate it 90 degrees to the right it would be correct.  This is a round top box by the way.

I had the same issue with it.  The software is looking to talk to something that I don't have, but I don't remember the exact error message.  Tossed in the the directory of other games I have that look for some type of server.

Mark, some games will work even though they were designed for a vertical top monitor, it just shows the video sideways.  Top Dollar and Pinball are a couple I can think of right off the top of my head.

Yes I have both pinball and top dollar loaded.  I do the same thing with A2 22/32 games on 22/22 cabs.

That game requires the IPC Controller.  It wont play with out it.

The Universal controller is the newer version of what used to be IPC.  IPC was really for the older platform, IGT just took a while to catch it up.

Yep. UC, ABSC or ABSC V2 is required, NOT IPC (4 different animals). Plus the correct UCG file, and UC Core and OS and Blue Kangaru to load it all... Oh and the Password to Unlock the 2nd game (Just like Back To The Future)


Will run stand alone though. I have to admit, I had to watch the movie to fully understand the Bonuses!  LOL..   "Mmmmm... BEER!"...
