If you press and release the left red button do you get a 6 on the display? If you do press and release it again and quickly press the right red button before the 6 dissapears. This might reset the system. Don't know what the 9 represents.

If you get no response from the reset try this. Pull and reseat the hopper 4 or 5 times. Reseat all connectors on the i/o board a few times. Reseat the ribbon cable on both ends from the i/o to the mpu. Check all pins in this ribbon cable as well.

Maybe this will help get you to square 1. Good luck!!?

I forgot to mention that when I have this problem sometimes the Solenoid that stop the reels will be stuck chattering
I tried what you said but no luck
Also when the door is open the first two zeros disappear and then a one appears in the first space alternately

When you close the door do you get the 9 display back? At least the mpu is seeing the door switch to some degree.

Sounds like a voltage issue with the solenoid chatter. Check your 3 voltages on the power supply board. If your 5v check is less than 4.75 your going to have a problem. Let us know what the other two voltages are as well at the ur and the zc test points.

Check the connector on the power supply board. It may need reseating. That connector could be positional if there is to much resistance in the connector. Also check the solder joints on the power supply board. Likewise reseat the power cable on the mpu board.

Your voltages on the ps board appear to be good. You may have a problem between the ps board and the mpu. You didn't comment on any other items in the last post. Your door switch must work or your reset buttons will not work if the mpu sees the door closed.

Check the connector on the power supply board. It may need reseating. That connector could be positional if there is to much resistance in the connector. Also check the solder joints on the power supply board. Likewise reseat the power cable on the mpu board.

The ps board connector and solder joints are a common problem with these machines.
