ticket/voucher data printout
« on: October 11, 2014, 09:56:43 AM »
Hello - I was asked by a customer if it is possible to remove the $ symbol in front of the ticket value.  Does anyone know if that is possible.  While I am at it, I figured I would try to remove the line/row that reads the actually ticket value as well and the deicmal place between the dollar and cents value.

The goal, from what I was told, is to use printed "credits" instead of tickets looking like a monetary value.  This is not a TITO system if that is relevant.  Thank you.

It would not be practical because you either have to modify the machines firmware or the printers firmware.

I even tried a international Version chip in a IGT S2000 and it still showed the $ symbol on the progressive display and any tickets I printed, no matter what currency symbol I picked.

Thank you, Foster.  Tweaking firmware sounds a bit too involved for me, that's for sure.  I appreciate the reply.
