IGT AVP MEMORY BOARD THAT HOLDS 4 MEMORY INSTEAD OF JUST 2
« on: July 19, 2023, 07:29:23 PM »
Hello everyone, I just purchased an IGT AVP G23 with tall CSI themed top monitor including an IPC controller with Dirty Dancing, Elvis the King, Sex and the City  (2 versions), Hangover, and Breakfast at Tiffany's.  I was told by the person I bought it from that the resources were at 93% used and the best solution was to find and buy a different memory board (PCI I/O BOARD) that held 4 memory chips side by side instead of just 2.  Does anyone know what this is, if it is available, what is required and how to change it and set it up.  This is my first AVP and I would appreciate any help the more experienced/knowledgeable individuals here.

I was also told that it has a lot of games including Dolly Parton but could not locate it.  When I asked about it they said that they thought it was there and may need an Ekey 7 to enable it.  Does anyone have one of these available reasonable?  Very much a newbie with AVP.

Thank you and have a great day.

I have ekey00007 and diagnostics available. PM me if interested.

I have no idea what board you are talking about. The main board should have 2 memory slots capable of handling 2gb of RAM per slot. System RAM has nothing to do with the available NVRAM. When you get above 90%, you are flirting with disaster.

Here's a starter document for you. You should probably view some youtube videos to get more familiar with setups but everything is done via touchscreen so it's not difficult.

The memory they are talking about is the nvram having it at 93% used can lead to instability. I have heard myths of 2 different size cards. Some people say they have more chips populated but every card i have ever seen including the ones for older 2.5 cpus have all 4 spots populated the chips do have a high failure rate so it’s possible 2 chips may have been removed making a smaller card but im not sure that would even work. The other thing i have heard is that the chips are a larger size. This is just not possible igt used the largest possible chips that fit that package and pin out. If the seller is saying your card only has 2 chips populated it would be interesting to see what is actually populated on it.
