Top Dollar S+ issue

I have an S+ Top Dollar machine that is alternating back and forth 100 in the winner paid and 100 in the credits and 1 in the coins played display. The dollar bill validator light is also off. This machine was working fine Thursday. I have tried opening the door and turning the reset key but no change. Any idea as to what else I can try?

I guess for starters make sure the door optics are working (showing door closed)

Door optics are good. Now the BV light is on and I can put in a 100 bill but it immediately drops the coins. I had pulled the cashout button down so nobody would hit that button and I lose all my credits. It sounds like to me that it is in "cashout mode" all the time. Is there a way around this that will stop it from dropping the coins?

open door press reset button until you see a number in the winners paid (usually takes 2 of 3 presses).  when you get 5 there will be a 0,1 or 2 in the display to the right.  You want to set it t 2 (press spin button to change).  this will send all wins to credits as well as credits for any bills you put in.

I tried that but never got a "5" in the winners paid window, the closest thing I got was a "50" in that window.

Make sure you don't have credits on the machine.
open door, press test button until you get a number in winner paid (usually get 5 first but may get a 2, depends on sp chip)
if you get less tha a 5, turn reset key to advance, when you get to 5 stop, press spin button until to get a 2

I tried it again and got a 2 in the winners paid and a 1 in the credits, does that sound right?

now turn reset key 3 times, that should advance the 2 to 5
when you get 5 in winners paid press spin button until you has a 2 in credits
after that you have press the reset button several times to advance to the end
