Andy,  I am pretty sure you can disconnect and install a jumper for this.  It has been a while on my s+ days.  Think it is pretty simple though.  Can't rembember which pins to jump--Damn old age--- :duh: :fryingpan: .

Thanks 777sizzler. I am a rookie in here trying to find it. My dear wife is saying that she is feeling her self like at the newspaper publisher :)  For that reason i have to find solution immediately. :)

I don't have an S+, but I do have a Game King from the same year of 1998 (I also have two other IGT machines). On all of them I have disabled the mechanical counters by cutting the wire that is solid orange. I'm assuming your counters are the same as in my games.

Well, you know what they say about assuming... :fryingpan: . Your counters look different than mine, so hopefully someone who knows S+ machines will chime in for you. I HATE mechanical counters and it's a pet peeve of mine.

No backlight conversion is possible with an S+.  You need to move to an S2000, Bally Alpha, WMS Reel or some other newer platform.

The S+ coin counters use a harness that has mostly brown colored wires.
However, the 1st wire is an orange wire with a black stripe, while the 7th wire is a brown wire with a blue stripe.
Disconnect the black plastic Molex connector from the floor mounted motherboard by depressing on the latch on the side of the connector housing and lifting up and off the motherboard socket.
Your machine contains an internal electronic accounting program which you access to by turning the reset key once.
You may ask on NLG for a PSR program sheet to see how the Accounting program mode is configured for your SP game chip.

Hi all again

I try to upload small video but this forum doesnt support apple videos.

I will convert to other file as soon as possible and let you guys to decide . I think the problem is not from the meters. The problem is coming from the reels. Whenever they satrt to stop one buy one i feel like judge at the court bamming to his desk one by one three times.

I dont know how to figure this and solve it. My wife is returning from her trip and if this reels or what it is sound still standing , i am sure i am start smelling of big fight coming.

Thanks.

Aah, what you are hearing is the solenoid that locks the slot handle (arm).  When reel spin music is enabled, the machine fires that solenoid each time each reel stops to create a simulated mechanical feel and sound of the otherwise pretty quiet reel motors.  You can either turn off the reel spin music, which will cause the speaker to make the reel stop sounds (and will turn off the solenoid), or you can disconnect or otherwise quiet that solenoid.  There were some posts about it on the old forum site (http://www.newlifegames.net/nlg/ ) -- if you search in the S+ section there you might be able to find some related posts (I'm blocked from that site here at work or I'd try and find them for you).

The only thing I hear is the normal sound of handle solenoid clicking, I think it clicked 5 times per spin
First click is handle locked, 2nd - 4th click when each reel stops, 5th click release handle for next play.

Yes you are going to hear a soft motor sound when reels are spinning that is normal
Thing to remember a casino floor is noisier than your home so something you do not hear in casino becomes very noticeable in the home.

Note: My S2000 clicks the handle solenoid two times per spin (lock handle and release handle) due to the fact I have  5 reels and 10 button deck installed.
It is annoying but normal sound.

if you want to eliminate it but You cant pull the handle to play the machine though.
There is a 2 pin black connector within inches of the handle mechanism with yellow or orange wires in it. you disconnect it and the solenoid will stop clicking

I checked everywhere and didnt find it.

I am sure you are talking about behind of the BV. I am seeing handle mechanism back side but there are no cables going in it. I will take a picture tomorrow and post it for your information.

S+ and S2000 handle mechanisms are the same Might be a slight diffrence in the solenoid but it is located on the back side of the handle mech and the actual swtich is in front side.
Yes the BV housing and even the back of cabinet will be close to the handle mechanism, you almost have to feel for things coming from it.

A strong light helps as well.
Picture is of a S2000 handle mechanism.

See the large yellow or orange colored object just left of center that is the solenoid
Hanging just below is a black connector that is one you need to disconnect. its almost hidden by the orange/purple wire
Notice it has orange colored wires going into it. colors might be different on the S+
Wire color codes are 35 and 38 for S+ which is orange/green and orange/gray

Remove the hopper, stick your head in there, and look behind the bill validator assembly.  It'll be where the player pull handle connects to the cabinet.
