MK6 game setup issues
« on: June 17, 2020, 10:30:24 AM »
I am trying to install the Timberwolf game into my MK6 machine. This machine has no coin hopper, just a BV and Ticket printer.  I am using set/clear chips 6.03.10 (also tried 6.03.04).  I set the:
Jurisdiction to Michigan
Var to 99
Payout Setup --split pay Disabled and ticket notification Disabled
Game to Reel Power Game (25)

When I remove the set/clear chips and reboot, the game comes up with the following errors.
FLT Jurisdiction Machine Options
FLT EEPROM CRD Mismatch
Memory Error   Game EEPROMS Changed
Watchdog Reset

The screen shows this game as a Extra Reel Power game, but in the Clear/set the Extra Reel Power is not an option that is there.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Is there a Reel Power 40 setting? The game should have the same bet amounts as Buffalo.

Thanks for responding.  I tried it with the setting Reel Power 40, but got the same results.

I like casinos and I love slot machines

I set the Jurisdiction to Nevada with Reel Power 40, and booted the machine.  The credits were set to 5 cents per credit, and I wanted to have it at 1 cent per credit.  I redid the clear/set, changing only the value of the credit.  On reboot, the same old issues came up.  I clear/set again putting the credit value back to 5 cents.  On boot up, the same issues were there. I am beginning to believe that there is something wrong with the connection between the boards and the backplane.  Is there some way to test this?

The MK 6 board to back plane connection is very tight.
You must push hard to seat the board or you will have many odd issues.
You can get DeOxit spray and clean the pins and socket, but I haven’t
seen any better results from it’s use.

I followed the advice, thank you very much, and shoved the logic board in very hard.  The system came up and I was able to set the game up just like I wanted.  Thanks again.
