S+ with Vertical Reels???

Has anyone seen an S+ with vertical reels before or is this a custom mod? Seen this machine on eBay and wasn't sure if this was done by IGT or if it was an aftermarket thing someone came up with.

I played one of those years ago at Slots-A-Fun in Vegas. Can't remember if they were 100% IGT or if an aftermarket company made them.

I've seen these for sale before and there was some discussion on them on the old site. I don't remember what the verdict was other than all the hardware is IGT. His pictures are to fuzzy to see if the glass has their logo.

Ah Hah!
It took a little digging but I finally found some pics of that slot on the old site I posted back in 2009.
Looks like an after market called JPSLOTS created the game. The race cars had a nudge feature too.

Woohoo!!!!! Way to go Uniman! I went back and looked on the old site, but didnt find a whole lot.


I think these might have taken off with the right design. As the machine was set-up, the customer/player had to look up all the time to see the reels, or play standing up.

Binion's and the Four Queens in downtown Las Vegas each have one of these style machines as a promotional "free pull" machine, with a 4th reel in the lower section (in the center of where the reels would traditionally be).
