Haywire machine?
« on: June 01, 2018, 10:55:56 AM »
I have the chance to buy this machine.  It works perfect.  Is it an IGT?  Any thoughts?

Yes it's an IGT. Looks like an S model or early S Plus (no bill validator). Does that awesome stand come with it?

Quality doesn't cost. It pays.

Surely an early S-Plus, Haywire would not work on the S platform with RS chip.  Likely made between 1989 and 1993.  Desireable and fun game, hope you can snag for a good price.  :-)

He's asking $450.  He stand is included, but not sure I would use it.   Thanks for the replies folks, really appreciate it.  I'm in the market for 1 or 2 really clean nice working ones for a game room I'm making at my house.  Prefer the old quarter style, that dispenses quarters rather the newer coinless.

I have an early S+ Haywire myself. Probably set up to play coin in, coin out already. If not, easy to change. I love mine.

Thanks to everyone for the guidance.  Have several machines to check out this weekend in my local area. Some have issues, which I would most likely avoid buying, as I do not have any experience with working on them.  But, we shall see how it goes.  Have a great weekend all.

It has no bill validator, so that would be the only option.   :propeller:

$450 is a little steep, but I love the stand (minus the horses).

I passed on it, and got two other machines. Wild Cherry's, and Wild Diamonds.
