S+ coins go to tray?

My Dad has 2 S+ machines. Have not been used for a year. Coins drop straight through to tray. The light on the comparters is not lite up. Battery? Not near the machines right now. Same symptom on both machines. Thanks all.

It is probably the battery from what I have heard before, I do not a lot of technical knowledge about IGT s+ or replacing batteries, I hope that you are able to get more help soon

The CC16D comparator will not be lit up with the door open. Is there a sample coin in the comparator? If the battery is low there will be a 12 error code showing in the winner paid display.

While it's possible that the battery is dead, there are multiple possibilities as to why your machines aren't accepting coins.  We'll really need you to get in front of them and see what (if any) errors are displayed so we can give you some more specific help.

You might want to check to see if the sample coin is still in the coin comparitors.

Sorry, won't be near the machines till this weekend.They do have coins in the comparator. I will check voltage on batt.

Before you do that, just turn the machine on and see if there is anything displayed on the red LED displays on the front.  If you see a "12", the machine has detected that the battery is low.
