s plus 61 code cant clear problem

Does your belly door open to get to the cash can without opening the main door.

I have had 2 service calls where the switch in the belly door had been removed and replace with a jumper....

The problem was the jumper was bad.

Now when I find one of those jumpers I cut the wires below the plug, strip off some insulation, and wire nut them together.

Cash can doors also. Some doors spring open. If wires are connected to the switch cut them and wire nut them together.

Had the same problem...I got everything working and then one morning I was working on the machine in the garage and needed to clear it one more time for some reason, I forget...I got into that mode of error 61 not being able to clear...I tried multi. times with no results...I got the crazy idea to cover the door optics with a piece of black electrical tape and low and behold it cleared! ...WTF!...Found out, the sun was reflecting of the garaged door track on to the optic sensor making the machine think it was closed!...Conclusion, if you can't get the clear to work-try covering the optics and see if that does the trick...

Ha! that happened to me. The customer was being very helpful and brought a Halogen lamp to light the inside of the machine for me.

Moving the lamp away allowed me to continue.

Thanks Elvis !!!.................J/P switch continuity test was aok...........cash can door sensor wires were pinched  & cut  on the box track...........fixed 'em & problem solved !!.........thanks for all the input

Great that you got it. Most of us splice the belly door and cash can switches ASAP. Takes that whole mess out of the works. Sorry I was a little late getting to your post. When I started reading it I expected to see others suspecting the door being seen as open. Glad I read all replies. Happy Gaming
