S+ Problem with Max Bet Button, No Reel Spin?

I just got this game in for repair. Fluorescent bulbs were only working. Found a burnt power supply plug on the Mother Board. Fix and game plays.. Well all most. I noticed that when I have credits on the game and I push the lit up Play Max Credits button, that it plays the 3 credits and the button light turns off, but the reels don’t spin unless I pull the handle or push the spin reels button? I’ve never seen this before. I don’t feel a volume wheel even tho the cut outs there. Is this a feature of a 16 MHz MPU Board? In test 4 I see 1309 and 8171 for my game proms.
Is there a print out of setup sheet for a 16MHz board? I have the setup card for the S Plus already

See if that SP has an option 39;  0-1Max Bet Autospin.   Autospin may be turned off.

I’ll see what I can find tomorrow. How do I get into option 39? Is that by turning to reset key with the door open? Also if this is a 16MHz board, where do I locate the volume control option?

yes with reset key. (push white button twice then turn key about 15 times to get to 39 with no credits.  I don't know how to change volume on 16Mhz board, never tried.
If I change option 39 from 39-1 to 39-0 with sp1271 it does exactly as yours is doing now.

Well this game doesn’t have the 1271, I believe from what I saw in mine 4 that it’s a 1309? Hopefully it’s the same settings.

Well I tried this today and wasn’t able to find a option 39, I don’t think this SP1309 chip went over 20..

According to the IGT document for SP1309 it does have an option #39 setting. (see page 6 of attached document)

Also, on 16mhz mpu bpards the volume level is set in the TEST/Setup menu. There isn't a manual volume control like there is on the 10mhz mpu boards. The metal mounting tray probably has a slot for the volume control just in case the mpu mounted to it is the 10mhz version board, or someone switched out a 10mhz board and installed a 16mhz one.
