reset keys - are they always 2341?

did IGT use the "2341" key on all their machines (S, S+ and S2000)?  All the machines I have dealt with over the years all used the 2341 - all posts i have read always recommend the 2341. Even if a lock was replaced - i haven't seen any reset locks (other than barrel keys) that were not 2341. Any comments?

Bally does have a reset key that looks just like the IGT key but they used 2001 and 2007.

i more concerned about IGT as I sell the locks with a 2341 and i have a complaint saying the 2341 does not work in his machine and that not all igt use the 2341

I have seen Bally reset switches installed in IGT machines and IGT reset switches installed in Bally machines.
Whatever some previous shop had available on the shelf at the time seems to be the rule of thumb for replacing a reset switch.

I have never run into any machine where the 2341 didn't work, that's just my experience though.  All forms of WMS, Bally Alphas (both 1 and 2), and IGT S+, S2K, iGame, AVP G20 and G23.

Most games from most manufacturers use a 2431, but it's certainly within the realm of possibility that at some point someone replaced the reset keyswitch with one that requires a different key.  You could always send your customer a replacement keyswitch with a key and resolve the issue, assuming they're capable of replacing it.
