"Google" has told me that I'm the latest owner of a Mills 5 cent "Operator's Bell" called the "Poinsettia". The machine had zero coins in it. The tube successfully filled, then JAM. Cleared it. NOW I pay attention to what's happening through the window. Consistently, I must tilt the machine forward to dump coins off the top or it will jam. They seem to be resting at about a 2:00 o'clock position against the tube. Ideally (in my imagination) if the coins are going to tilt, it should be @ 6:00 o'clock, which would at least point them at the jackpot. I have filled the jackpot only by watching the nickles stack up, 3 or 4 above the top of the tube then tilting the machine forward to transfer to jackpot ....or...here comes another jam.  :thank_you:

Can you please post a picture of the top of the machine mechanism, out of the case?

If I am understanding this correctly it sounds like the coins are not being kicked of the top of the payout tube. I believe there should be a kicker arm that does this. Sometimes, when the tube is removed by someone the arm drops down behind the tube when it's re-installed. I have attached a small photo (found on net) that will show the area (circled in red) of the kicker arm. It will look similar to an arm with an elbow (kinda "L" shaped).

A photo of your game and the area will help.

HI! Sorry to take so long to tackle this. YOU ARE 100% CORRECT! Removed chute. YEP! In hiding was a spring loaded thingy that had been covered up a long time. NASTY! wrapped a q-tip with 4/0 steel wool soaked with lighter fluid , then with 3 in 1 oil. I saw after putting stuff back together CORRECTLY that it's activated the instant you pull on the lever. Watched it do it's job after chute filled. PERFECT!  :thank_you:
